Countdown to Earth Hour

See your world in a whole new light.

In 2009, Earth Hour aims to reach one billion people in 1000 cities worldwide. The City of Brampton is again uniting with millions around the world in the fight against climate change. On March 28, at 8:30 pm it will be lights out across Brampton, as all non-essential lights will be turned off for one hour - Earth Hour - sending a powerful global message that it’s possible to fight climate change.

Lighting affecting public safety, security or service – such as streetlights, stoplights, park pathway lighting and parking lot lights at City facilities will remain on. Public programming at recreation and community centres will also continue as normal.
